The ability to imagine a future where one can thrive is essential to shaping it into reality. Yet, for Queer, Trans, and BIPOC individuals, envisioning self-actualization remains an act of defiance in a world that continuously stereotypes, marginalizes, and erases them. The narratives we consume—the books we read, the films we watch, the stories we inherit—shape our perceptions of what is possible. When these narratives exclude or distort marginalized identities, they limit the futures that can be conceived. Other World reclaims agency by centering those pushed to the fringes, presenting speculative futures and reimagined worlds built on their own terms. Through various artistic practices, the featured artists draw from history, community, and movement-building to craft expansive, transformative visions of identity and belonging. Together, they pose urgent questions: Who are we? Where have we come from? What do we believe in? What fills us with hope? Other World is both an assertion of presence and an invitation to dream beyond imposed boundaries, offering a space where new possibilities take root.
