the Standard
Born in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Standard project space emerged as a response to isolation, a way to maintain creative connections when traditional spaces were closed or inaccessible. Nestled within a modest 1.5-stall residential garage, this temporary project space became a vital hub to foster relationships. Through intimate exhibitions, conversations, and community engagement, the Standard challenges the notion that art spaces must be grand to be impactful. Here, connection outweighs convention, and accessibility drives innovation. Though temporary by design, its impact is lasting—reshaping how we think about inclusion, visibility, and the power of art to sustain us in uncertain times.
