art battle 2006
Studio 280's Art Battle was this past weekend and I started reminiscing about my 1st Place title two years ago. I found some video from the 2006 Battle and made a quick time lapse of my piece. it's pretty poor quality, but you'll get the gist.
I had just finished my first year of grad school and had major anxiety issues that manifested in losing mass amounts of hair. I began counting how many hairs i was losing a day, in fear of larger health issues, and for some reason began saving the hair as well. Every time I showered I would have to clear my drain. After several months of hair loss, I began creating drawings on the shower wall with my hair.
