the space between us, day 1
wow. i haven't blogged in a while and so much has happened.
this past weekend was rough! i installed my mfa show in 214 gallery and have successfully transformed the space. i don't think i've ever worked this hard to pull something together, but i wouldn't have it any other way. i'm a total idealist. i spend so much time in my head and to see one of my ideas manifest into a tangible form and be content with the results, is a big deal. i'm my own worst critic (aren't we all though) but i'm finally in a space were i'm invested in the work and feel the work is true to who i am .
my mom, erin, kim, billie, and nina all helped tremendously and i'm so grateful to have their support. i've laid faux wood floors over the existing black marble, painted the walls the color of my dining room in michigan, installed 49 drawings, and installed groupings of my furniture that have been in storage or my home in MI.
i love the space i've created. it's the space i wish i had been living the past 3 years.
