new show title
on the exact day i receive my showcards, i'm working my studio at my drafting table and i look up at the wall in front of my table and start perusing my ongoing list of titles. i tend to think of titles and phrases while i'm working and i jot them down. i scrolled down about halfway and it hits me! my show title! there it is staring back at me yelling, 'where've ya been lady, i've been hanging out here for months'. so why hadn't i been looking at my 'list' when i was deciding show titles? oh, that's right, my brain has been short circuiting from multi-tasking. anyway, my show title is now, The Space Between Us.
i was joking with kim today about how this show changes on a daily(sometimes hourly) basis and how it could be my ongoing project. i would never actually exhibit it anywhere, i could just blog about it and post images of the projected space. either that, or i need a permanent space in which to display the show. that way i could just keep re-working the space when my thoughts diverge. kind of neurotic but very similar to the sometimes, never-ending home improvement projects.
